Finally then, some "good" weather; It has been weeks that the Norton had not left its garage. In the beginning of spring we had lots of rain. Then the rain stopped but due to strikes, the gas stations were all out of gas. When they had gas again, more rain and the Seine flooded so some roads were closed. Then it was raining again. Today then, finally, we had some better weather so I used the Norton to run some errands. Just to combine some duties with fun (and also because it becomes nearly impossible to find a parking space for the car Saturdays).

Eindelijk, eens wat "beter" weer; Het was nu al weken geleden dat de Norton niet uit de garage geweest was. In het begin van de lente hadden we veel regen. Toen de regen stopte waren er stakingen en de benzine stations zaten zonder benzine. Toen er weer benzine was viel er weer meer regen en ging de Seine buiten zijn oevers en waren er wegen afgezet. En nadien opnieuw regen. Vandaag, eindelijk, was het wat beter weer en heb ik de Norton genomen om wat boodschappen te halen. Om het nodige met het leuke te combineren (en ook omdat het bijna onmogelijk is geworden een parkeer plaatsje te vinden op zaterdagen).

Pas trop tôt, enfin un peu de "beau" temps; ça fait plusieurs semaines que la Norton n’avait pas quité la garage. Au début de printemps nous avons eu beaucoup de pluie. Quand la pluie commençait à s’arrêter, il y avait des grèves et les stations d’essence étaient complètement à sec. Quand les stations d’essence étaient réapprovisionnées encore de la pluie au point que la Seine commençait à déborder et certains routes étaient fermés. Après, à nouveau de la pluie. Aujourd’hui donc, enfin, le temps s’améliorait et j’ai pris la Norton pour aller faire quelques courses. Histoire de combiner les dévoirs avec un peu d’amussement (et aussi parce qu’il devient pratiquement impossible de trouver des places pour garer sa voiture les samedis).
