October 2016 - motorbike Norton Commando 850 MK1a (2nd generation)

Finally I may have it; the 90 EP oil for the Norton’s gearbox. Not that the redline shock-proof oil isn’t working, so far it seems to be doing pretty well but next time I’ll put new 90 EP oil back.

Saturday I had to do some grocery shopping but impossible to find a parking space for the car. So I went to get the Norton first en decided to go shopping with a back pack (and with the Norton). First I had to get some gas and while I arrived at the gas station in Chaville a lady biker just finished up. She was all pretty, her Ducati just washed clean. I think I may have seen her before in Chaville. In Zeeland, the province I used to live in the Netherlands there were quite some women riding a bike but here not so much I have the impression. I suppose I could have said something but I’m way too shy. So instead we just nodded hello.

Enfin je pense que je l’ai trouvé; l”huile 90 EP pour la boite de vitesse de la Norton. Non pas que le Redline shock-proof ne fonctionne pas, jusqu’à là ça semble bien fonctionner mais la prochain fois je remettrai l’huile 90 EP.

Samedi il falait que j’allais faire quelque courses mais impossible de trouver un endroit pour garer la voiture. Donc je suis d’abord aller chercher la Norton et décidais d’aller faire les courses avec un sac à dos (et avec la Norton). D’abord il fallait faire le plein et quand j’arrivais au station de service à Chaville une motarde venait de finir. Elle était toute belle, sa Ducati fraichement lavé. Je ne suis pas sûr mais je pense que je lui ai déjà vu avant à Chaville. Au Zeeland, où j’habitais aux Pays-bas, pas mal des femmes faissaient la moto mais ici j’ai l’impression que c’est plutôt rare. J’aurais pu dire quelque chose mais je suis bien trop timide. Donc nous se sommes juste salués.

Eindelijk denk ik het gevonden te hebben; de 90 EP olie voor de versnellings bak van de Norton. Niet dat de Redline shock-proof niet goed is, tot hier werkt het goed maar de volgende keer doe ik er de 90 EP terug in.

Zaterdag moest ik nog even wat boodschappen gaan halen maar onmogelijk om een parkeerplaatsje te vinden. Dus ben ik eerst de Norton gaan halen en besloot maar om de boodschappen met een rugzak te gaan halen (en met de Norton). Eerst moest er nog benzine in en net toen ik bij het pompstation in Chaville aan kwam was een motorrijdster net klaar. Ze zag r brandschoon uit, haar net gewassen Ducati. Ik denk dat ik haar al eens vaker in Chaville tegen ben gekomen. In Zeeland, de provincie waar ik woonde in Nederland, daar waren aardig wat dames die motor reden maar hier heb ik de indruk dat het niet zo gek veel voor komt. Ik had haar misschien aan kunnen spreken maar daar ben ik veel te verlegen voor. Dus in plaats daar van bleef het bij een vriendelijke groet.
