New Girling 12.9″ shocks (Hagon replicas) for the Norton
While I was at it, I also removed the battery to charge it. I guess the electrical system still works well; it was charging for about 5 minutes and already stopped, it just didn’t need more which should indicate that the battery was still charged enough. After that, of course a test; they work good, the Girlings, but they’re “softer” than the old Koni’s. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as I’m mostly driving around town and not speeding the Norton.

Terwijl ik toch bezig was heb ik ook de accu verwijderd om op te laden. Het ziet er naar uit dat het electrische systeem nog goed werkt; de accu laade voor nog geen 5 minuten en stopte al, meer moest er niet in wat betekent dat de accu nog goed opgeladen was. Nadien, natuurlijk een test; ze werken goed, de Girlings, maar ze zijn wat “zachter” dan de oude Koni’s. Wat niet direkt slecht nieuws is, omdat ik toch meer in de stad rij dan op de snelweg.

Pendant que j’étais en train de bricoler j’ai enlevé la batterie pour la recharger. Je crois que la système électrique fonctionne bien; la batterie chargeait pendant 5 minutes avant de s’arrêter, elle n’avait pas besoin de plus, ce qui devrait indiquer que la batterie était encore chargé suffisamment. Après ça, un tour de test; elles fonctionnent bien, les Girlings, elles sont plus “mous” que les anciennes Koni’s. Ce qui n’est pas nécessairement un mauvais chose parce que je conduis plus souvent en ville que sur des autoroutes.
